Bequeathers and testators

Bequests to the Conservatoire are a long-standing tradition.
Since it was founded, the Conservatoire's heritage has been enriched by numerous legacies: music scores, sculptures, paintings, record collections and musical instruments.
Some of the most notable bequests include Alexandre Tcherepnine's collection of scores and Baron Pierre de Gunzburg's donation of major works of Russian art, which still adorn the walls today. Several instruments have also been bequeathed, including a Bechstein piano dating from 1923, as well as other more recent pianos.

These donations enrich the heritage collections and help to enhance them. The musical instruments help to continually improve the working conditions of the artists who attend the Conservatoire.

All these legacies are officially registered as donations within the association, which is recognised as being in the public interest. Donors put their name and their donation on a permanent partnership with the Conservatoire
