Launched in January 2024, the Orchestral Conducting class directed by Mathieu Herzog at the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire, will welcome its new class in January 2025, at the end of the selection auditions to be held on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 January, day of the presentation of the winners of the Class of 2024.

A morning of discovery for musicians interested in this training will be organised again on Monday 18 November at 10.00 am.

Strengthened and enriched by the experience and success of this first year for all participants, the course confirms its orientations and educational content in 2025.

Professional specialisations

Quartets & Trios

Following the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire's Quartet and Trio Class, the Conservatoire is opening a quartet and trio training course led by Gabriel Le Magadure in autumn 2024.

The aim of this class is to learn and perfect the art of the string quartet and trio, with the aim of developing a long-term career for the ensembles selected; to train and prepare students for national and international competitions, so that they can perform under the best possible conditions and contribute to the development of the young national scene.

This class is aimed at professional musicians or those in the process of becoming professionals.

This course is aimed at professional actors and singers or those in the process of becoming professionals.

Its teaching objectives are tailored to the trainee's professional goals and deadlines

  • Preparing for competitions, auditions, concerts and career management
  • Learn and perfect classical musical technique and interpretation
  • Acquire or develop, through body technique applied to singing, the ease and relaxation needed to speak in public or on stage.

preparation for international piano competitions

The aim of the preparatory class for international competitions is to offer prize-winners a course of further training under the collective guidance of great masters and internationally renowned pianists from the Russian and French piano schools, whose artistic individualities bear witness to the precious uniqueness of these schools.

The aim is to offer a cross-disciplinary view of each student's abilities, and then to collectively pass on a body of knowledge and experience rich in the diversity of visions of the artists involved.

International soloists and grand masters make up the artistic and pedagogical direction of the international competition preparation class: Rena Shereshevskaya, Michel Dalberto, David Fray, Nikolaï Lugansky, Jean-François Zygel.

They are assisted by concert teachers from the Rachmaninoff Conservatoire, Yulia Orlova, Alexandre Karpeev and Hugo Martin. 

 

Targeted international piano competitions: Ferruccio-Busoni in Bolzano, Chopin in Warsaw, Queen Elisabeth of Belgium in Brussels, Leeds, etc.

Financing

The Conservatoire Rachmaninoff is a professional training centre in the process of obtaining Qualiopi certification and as such will offer the possibility of AFDAS funding for the skills development plan.
