An intimate, cultural and gourmet venue, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris
Nestling in the heart of the Serge Rachmaninoff Conservatoire in Paris, the Samovar Café is much more than just a place to take a break: it's a place to meet, to breathe and to be inspired, open to all those who want to combine culture and conviviality.
In a warm atmosphere of music and tea, the Samovar Café welcomes artists, students, music lovers and the curious, with a menu inspired by Slavic and French traditions.
The name of the café pays homage to the samovar, a symbol of hospitality in Eastern European cultures: here, people take the time to meet, talk, listen and simply savour the moment.
As the Conservatoire's café and an integral part of its association (SMRF), Samovar is a place for sharing, at the crossroads of gastronomy, culture and artistic transmission.
Exceptional coffees and homemade Slavonic cuisine
Samovar Café offers refined dining inspired by Slavic culinary traditions.
From pirojki to medovik, and emblematic dishes such as pelmenis, varenikis and borch, all our dishes are homemade by the caterer. Vkusniachkawho delivers to us on a daily basis.
Samovar Café also offersood specialty coffees Terre de Café, dquality matchas and teas, as well as a range of non-alcoholic drinks (Russian drinks, kvas, tarhunsofts...).
You'll also find the must-try Russian Orejki and Prianiki biscuits, as well as ice creams. Lead in summer, and Borch in winter!
A place for the arts
Samovar regularly hosts cultural events in partnership with the Conservatoire:
- Student concerts, readings, exhibitions by theSchool of Classical Drawing;
- creative workshops, conferences and themed evenings;
- collaboration with artists, teachers and outside contributors.
Privatisation (up to 80 people)
The café can be used for private or business events:
cocktails, celebrations, masterclasses, meetings, book launches, etc.
Maximum capacity: 80 people.
