Ensemble Astera "A new lease of life

Astera invites you on a journey: from Debussy to Fazıl Say and Nielsen, a concert of poetry, trance and collective breath.

The Ensemble Astera is the wind quintet that won the 1st Prize at the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition 2023.

Since 2019, united by their friendship and driven by a shared passion for chamber music, its musicians have been keen to share their essential vision as chamber musicians: the blending of the sounds and timbres of five wind instruments with a view to unity and the pursuit of a great artistic dimension.

Saturday 13 September 2025, In an unexpected dialogue between tradition and invention, between inner breath and collective pulse, the Astera ensemble will offer a musical journey in three stops. From the liquid poetry of Debussy to the mystical trance of Fazıl Say, to the powerful, sculpted winds of Carl Nielsen, this concert will celebrate the release of a resolutely lively album.
